Artist's Description
The Wetterhorn is one of the giants in the Jungfrau region of the Bernese Alps, Switzerland. The best view of it is from the opposite First (summit) which is accessible by cable-car from the village of Grindelwald. Here is an interesting cloud formation above the peak of the Wetterhorn. During summer, the snowcap has almost disappeared. The chunk of snow which has not melted provides the much-needed contrast and focal point for this black and white image.
The alpine trinity of Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau always get the most attention, but the neighbouring Wetterhorn is equally impressive and captivating for fine art landscape photography.
