Description
Emperor Falls is the uppermost of waterfall along the Robson River in Mount Robson Provincial Park (Canada). It can be reached by hiking along the Berg Lake Trail. After dropping over the edge of the cliff, the water slams into a protruding ledge which causes the river to explode outward from the face of the cliff in a huge arc. The volume of mist generated from the spray is immense. This black and white photograph is intended to be grainy to replicate that misty effect. It is an amazing experience to stand near the face of this thunderous falls and appreciate the intimacy offered by such a powerful waterfall.
